If you are 14 – 17 years old and interested in learning about rescuing animals or volunteering with us, FoSCA needs YOUR HELP! FoSCA’s Youth Program was created to involve teens in our mission of learning and rescuing homeless and abandoned animals from kill shelters.
Here are a few ways YOU can help:
Fundraising FoSCA is always in need of donations. This can be monetary, products, supplies, toys, and even gently used items. You can work to host a donation drive, bake sale, lemonade stand, dog wash, or any other creative idea and deliver the donations at an event. You can also hold a bake sale or sell homemade pet toys at one of our events and all the proceeds can go toward FoSCA!
Birthday Parties Have a pet themed birthday and make treats or toys to donate to FoSCA or collect donations of your choice for FoSCA. You can also request to have (1) FoSCA dog to come to your party!
Transports Meet rescue transports and give FoSCA dogs a walk and water break while they wait to meet their fosters or adopters. A parent must attend to assist in handling a dog.
FoSCA is always looking for high school volunteers who can help in the office with administrative or social media tasks.
Volunteer Liaison Attend our adoption events as a Volunteer Liaison and ensure that all new volunteers are trained, safe and enjoying our adoption events.
Events Assistant Attend our adoption events and help assisting in various areas including: foster check in and check out, the adoption table, and the puppy area!
Do you have other ideas for ways to help FoSCA rescue pets? Let us know! Our Youth Program is a easy and wonderful way to earn community service hours and give back to rescue animals that need our help.
